Software Engineer & Consultant

Trying to find calm in the chaos of tech.

Hello.

I've been writing code since 2011 — long enough to have strong opinions, short enough to still find it genuinely exciting. Since then I've built full-stack web applications for startups and large organisations, earned an MSc in Mathematics, and eventually went freelance, which is a polite way of saying I opted out of the open-plan office.

These days I work as a freelance engineer and consultant, mostly in JavaScript and TypeScript. I like early-stage work: the messy, exciting bit where things are still taking shape.

I'm active in Berlin's tech community: organising meetups for freelancers, speaking at events, and the occasional podcast appearance. The thread running through all of it is the human side of tech — careers, community, and finding a way of working that actually fits your life.

I read, I speak, I write, I code.

What I do

Software Engineering

I build web applications from first prototype to production — mostly JavaScript and TypeScript, full-stack. I like the early stage: when the brief is still fuzzy, the architecture isn't set in stone, and moving fast actually matters. I'm pragmatic, I write code I'm not embarrassed by later, and I'm easy to bring into an existing team.

Consulting

Sometimes you need an extra pair of hands. Sometimes you need someone to tell you honestly whether you're solving the right problem. I work with founders and technical leads on architecture, technology decisions, and the kind of questions that are hard to answer from the inside. No agenda, no jargon — just a considered outside perspective.

Public Speaking

I speak at tech conferences and community events about the messy, human reality of building a tech career — the doubt, the pivots, and the things you figure out the hard way. The stuff people are quietly googling at 2am. Want me to speak at your event? Drop me a line.
